Apparently, vim is getting <F2> (F2) input key when paste is not set
while he is getting <xF2> (Alternate F2) input key when paste is set. As
a workaround you can try using a function key from F5 up since alternate
function keys are available only for F1 to F4.

I will ask upstream about this issue in the meantime.
