Please close this bug, sorry to bother you over it.

It seems that I mistook an (annoying) new Vim70 feature, parenthesis 
highlighting, for syntax highlighting.  If others want to turn this off,
they can do so by placing:

let loaded_matchparen = 1

in their /etc/vim/vimrc.local .. or their .vimrc ..

I wonder, could you perhaps add this to the Debian /etc/vim/vimrc file..
or, submit it to upstream as a request?  This feature seems to have a lot
of people annoyed.  I found thousands of pages of people mistaking it, as
I did, for syntax highlighting.  Many want it off, although that could
still be the vast minority....
