Activating python hosting ? how ?

Hi.

I have tested activation of python hosting
(http://docs.openlinksw.com/virtuoso/pythonhosting.html) which only
requires adding --enable-python to the configure options
(DEB_CONFIGURE_EXTRA_FLAGS), to
generate /usr/lib/virtuoso-opensource-6.0/hosting/hosting_python.so into
virtuoso-opensource-6.0.

I'm wondering if such hosting support should be built-in by default in
the current Debian packages, or provided as a complementary dedicated
package (some kind of -hosting one).

Any idea ?
