However I seldom use ipw2100-cvs-version, because it means more work for
me to compile/install that one.

I'm not going to reopen this bug, unless I need WPA. This will not
happen anytime soon. I can use WEP here with just wireless-tools and I'm
not sure wether the wireless router actually has a proper WPA support
(my dad tried it with a winxp pc and didn't get it to work).
Just wanted to add these notes to the bugreport, in case anybody else
reads it.
