[pkg-wpa-devel] What's wrong with the new configuration scheme, IMO

Well, even in the current example init script you can edit the OPTIONS line to
start wpa_supplicant for more then one interface.

OK.

I don't think that e.g. automatically associating with any open AP is a good
idea. Otherwise, I agree with Alexej.

Then do it like Alexej suggests.

What vituperating? If what your planning to do is capable of managing one
interface only then it _is_ inferior.

BTW, wasn't it you who called me braindead in a very early mail? How does this
compare to a regarding a proposed package as 'inferior'? _You_ complain about
vituperation???

There's actually no need for such a package. Just use the components as they
are already packaged (yes, even the wpasupplicant package as packaged: Having
the init script in examples/ is perfectly OK for new users!)

Since ifplugd manages not only WLAN interfaces and guessnet is perfectly
usable without any relation to WLANs and some people _do_ actually like to
use wpa_supplicant in a different way it doesn't make sense to bundle them.

What's missing is documentation. I've already told you that I would gladly
write it up, if only we could agree on not breaking working setups on upgrade
unless there are *very* good reasons.

Kind regards,

Felix
