Well, the xfce4-terminal thingy looks like a problem in compositing (or maybe
in vte). I know that I've asked multiple times yet, but is compositing
deactivated in xorg.conf? Like:

Section "Extensions" 
	Option "Composite" "Disable" 
EndSection
