You can open bugs both in Debian BTS and Xfce bugzilla, submit patches here
and there, and forward the Debian bug to Xfce one. That way we'll be informed.
If the patch looks good, we may want to include it in our packages even before
it's integrated upstream, but generally I prefer having upstream advice before
integrating patches.

You may want to look at xfburn, not yet in Debian because of (un)availability
of libburnia or something like that.

Broken? It seemed to work fine here the last time I checked. What's the
problem? (I run rhythmbox on a Xfce/sid desktop)
