Could you provide the plugin configuration too? I mean:
.config/xfce4/panel/xfce4-sensors-plugin*

http://wiki.xfce.org/howto/panel_plugin_debug will help. And if
possible, rebuild the package with debug options
(DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="nostrip noopt"), and install xfce4-panel-dbg,
libxfcegui4-dbg, libxfce4util-dbg.
