Package: xfce4-terminal
Version: 0.4.8-1
Severity: important
I just upgraded to XFCE 0.4.8 and xfce4-terminal is broken with the
following message:
$/usr/bin/xfce4-terminal: symbol lookup error: /usr/bin/xfce4-terminal: undefined symbol: vte_terminal_fork_command_full
I ran into this on another machine and the solution was to upgrade
libvte9. Presumably, xfce4-terminal should depend on a more recent
version.
Current status:
$apt-cache policy libvte9
libvte9:
Installed: 1:0.24.3-2
Candidate: 1:0.28.1-2
Version table:
1:0.28.1-2 0
500 http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable/main amd64 Packages
*** 1:0.24.3-2 0
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
After upgrading libvte9 on this machine, xfce4-terminal started working
properly again.
