"CANON_DC" is the partition label of the SDHC card -- it's used in a Canon
digital camera. When the dialog appears, the card has disappeared from the
Thunar side pane, suggesting it's already been unmounted.

Is there a way to test whether tumbler is the problem? Thunar has thumbnails
of all the pictures and videos already.

Right before unmounting the card from Thunar, and getting the error dialog,
I ran 'sudo lsof /media/CANON_DC', which reported nothing.

Thank you for working on these bugs!
