Well, I'm sure there are endianness issues with your test case, too. But 
the particular error reported in the bug only shows when using a .ogg 
audio file. The whole "oggSlideshow" business isn't actually necessary 
to reproduce the problem.

A simple
 > oggJoin out.ogv /usr/share/sounds/gnome/default/alerts/sonar.ogg
will reproduce the behavior.

We may, however, find an example file in the archive with less 
dependencies. The mentioned "sonar.ogg" file is in the package 
"gnome-control-center-data", which pulls in quite a lot of dependencies.

Also, please note that the existence of "out.ogv" is no indicator for 
the presence of the problem. The file will be created in any case, 
albeit empty. But you can check the exit code of "oggJoin". It will 
indicate the problem by returning a non-zero exit code.
