[Reportbug-maint] How about we ask students at Allegheny college to improve reportbug's UI?

Dear reportbug team,

(CC:ing Zack in case he cares,)

I had some great conversations with people at Debconf about how to make
the reportbug user interface more usable.

Then today, I saw
http://www.sububi.org/2010/08/18/free-interaction-design-for-your-open-source-project/
-- a professor I know at Allegheny college wants to have students who are
learning interaction design give feedback to open source projects on their
user interfaces.

Matt Jadud writes: "If their work is good, and you like what you see, we
only ask that you give their efforts serious consideration for
implementation… we’re working with you because we don’t want to be doing
interface design and testing in the abstract, but instead we want to add
value to real projects through our efforts."

I thought the reportbug command line utility would be a great candidate.
I'm not a reportbug maintainer, but I've joined this email list and would
be happy to take part in this and possibly make changes to reportbug to
respond to the students' feedback. I'm fluent in Python, the language of
reportbug.

I would like to know if any current reportbug maintainers would be
interested in joining this. Would you, pretty please? I'll totally owe
you beer, pizza, an afternoon of servititude, or some other reasonable
thing. (-:

(Matt, CC:ing you as we discuss, in case you have thoughts about it. Feel
free to ask to be removed from the CC: list if you like.)

-- Asheesh.

Are you making all this up as you go along?
