i think it is a good thing to start a new thread if we want to discuss 
the craps page. the thread i was trying to do was not about it.

i think it is interesting to know that a good interpreter is faster than 
a bad compiler.
i also think it is interesting to know that some languages can get 
bigger speedups from run time flags than from compilers.
to convey this information on the craps page is a challange.
i do not have an answer to this.

i beg do disagree. while we have spent many words we have yet to show 
some logical reasoning.
and honestly, would you actually agree to a decision in a technical 
matter on the grounds that ''many people disagrees without a logical 
reason''?
