No, I think you misunderstand. I simply offered to
contribute something back, especially considering
the effort Brent put in, I felt it would be fair
to return the favour.  At the time I originally
offered I had never even heard of Isaac Gouy.
I also couldn't get it running, my computer was
too broken. I made good that promise recently
after getting a new box... in a private email
to Brent which was never answered.

I have plenty of other things to do than help
with the Shootout .. I offered to do so primarily
out of a sense of ethics and goodwill.
