I just tested simple-cdd 0.5.0 on jessie with the inclusion of packages
using local_packages=/path/to/packages and it worked fine for me.

Check in tmp/cd-build/jessie/*.log

Most likely some of your local packages can't resolve their dependencies
with jessie alone...

Perhaps they require some packages from an external repository, or from
wheezy? Have you tested installing them in a clean jessie chroot?

The debian-cd logs in tmp/cd-build/*/*.log are verbose, but usually have
the reason why something was uninstallable.


You could also try with the python3 branch of simple-cdd, which has much
better error messages and logs. I'd like to get that ready to upload to
debian sid sometime in the next couple months:
