[Splashy-devel] Adding progress text.

Well, I committed what I have about tt2 fonts support and improvements
on the config.xml for the themes so that you can specify an area to
display the messages, the color of the area (background color), the
color of the font as well as the font to use, etc...
I commited it so that you know what's coming and how to get the
configuration data from the theme file.
2 things:
* I couldn't get the area to show as a surface/layer on top of the
primary surface (perhaps with it's own border)
* The fonts are scrolling side-ways (as shown in the tutorial). We
might need to do that scrolling upwards -- as the kernel logs do.
When users press F2 i was thinking about reading /dev/vcs1 and
displaying that directly into the surface area. I'm not sure what's
your idea about this. I know you were implementing print to display
messages (which is needed), but I'm not sure if you are planning to
read /dev/vcs1 and send the lines to splashy via the .fifo one at a
time with print... Perhaps the first method works faster, though the
function that does it will be very specific to that function. So,
pressing F2 would just execute that function (perhaps using a new
thread). Let me know what you think.
I don't like the idea that e/a time I add features to the default
theme file (default/config.xml) I need to mirror that in
splashy_config's xml_functions. I need to finish reading this XML book
before I can venture into how to solve this problem more efficiently.
For now I'll just add it to the TODO. Hopefully somebody with better
understanding about XML would pick up that task ;-) If not, it will be
a good learning experience for me soon...
