[Splashy-devel] Bug#496621: X11 displays garbage when using splashy

When using splashy I get strange stripes on my display which only go
away when I switch to the terminal and back to X11. It looks quite
strange and makes splashy quite unusable for me.
I'll attach a screenshot.
