Hi,

I made a new upstream version based on the updates from git-repository
as of 13-May-2008 and build it against libdirectfb-dev v1.0.1-9.
Hoping this closes BUGs #472497 and #462626.

A question by-the-way:
Is the patching in "/etc/init.d/keymap.sh" obsolete with the
"vt-fix-canonical-input-in-utf-8-mode.patch" [3] in the upcoming Linux
kernel v2.6.25.4 [4]?

[1] says:
[...]
We need to apply this patch to libdirectfb-dev (on debian) so it does not
loop endlessly when it cannot read the previous keyboard device (before init
changes root trees during boot).
[...]

[2] says:
[...]
Changes:
 directfb (1.0.1-9) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   * Add cross build support. Thanks to Neil Williams. (Closes: #480933)
   * Add 92_reopen_console.patch: when libdirectfb detects zero length reads, it
attempts to reopen the console (possibly from a newly mounted root tree).
[...]

Kind Regards,
Sedat

P.S.:
What about my Email from last Saturday to the
splashy-devel-mailing-list - disappeared in nirvana (/dev/null)?
Shall I resend it?
