Package: splashy
Version: 0.3.13-3
Severity: important

On boot I get the error:
Splashy ERROR: Couldn't splashy_start_splasy(). Error -3
and then:
Splashy ERROR: Connection refused

I am using the Debian compiled kernels so splashy is in initramfs.
I am also using a single partition for /.
I have /home as a separate partition but only one big /.

I have tried purge and reinstall.
I have tried with 2.6.26 and 2.6.28 kernels.

I am using grub-pc so I added this line to /etc/default/grub and ran
update-grub:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="vga=791
splash"

My grub.conf lines:

}
...

Running "splashy test" after boot gives the same -3 error.

My video card is an Intel Corporation 82Q35 Express Integrated Graphics
Controller

I have tried to add "video=intelfb" to the kernel options but I get
errors that splashy isn't configured correctly.

I did have this working before but I don't know what version of splashy
was working as I was trying out Ubuntu
for a bit and then came back to Debian.
