umm... you are not using splashy from our svn repository right?

i agree. is just that sometimes when fsck is checking the disk, you
won't be able to know what's going on. same if you ever get a prompt
from the console to type anything during boot... splashy will just sit
waiting for input. perhaps is time to implement a "time out"
functionality.
