[Splashy-users] splashy appears in hibernation even though it has been purge removed

Hi all,

I removed splashy since it got into difficulties freezing the shutdown
process.  Even though it has been removed from the system (and there is no
splash parameter in the kernel parameter line in /boot/grub/menu.lst) the
splash screen appears when the system resumes from hibernation.  It is not
causing any difficulties and the system smoothly goes into hibernation and
resumes but I don't like to see the splash screen show up when it is not
supposed to.  Can anyone help me?
