I found some time to put together this script, it is available at
http://people.debian.org/~filippo/check-FTBFS.py

with sample output of today's data (20050920) at:
http://people.debian.org/~filippo/check-FTBFS.html

right now it is a little "rude", lacks versioned build-dep checking and requires
python-apt :)
