Package: base
Severity: normal

Sentelic touchpad is on many laptops. It is not properly supported. As you
know it is maddening if a touchpad is wobbly. Although the fspc package does
enable one to turn off the touch-to-click, (this does not persist through
boots) what is really neaded is the ability to turn off the touchpad when using
the keyboard. Willy nilly the touchpad is difficult to use, a thing that
drives people mad.

What is needed is the kernel to autodetect it and then give full control of it.
System > Preferences > Mouse does not have a 'touchpad' tab in Gnome.

Debian Squeeze.
