[Vmdebootstrap-devel] On patches on the mailing list...

Simple, quick patches like the grub2->grub-pc one are fine on the
mailing list but I know what will happen with the others you have sent,
despite me marking the thread as important in my email client ... I
can't do much work on vmdebootstrap right now, I know I'll get back to
it at some point soon. I expect that to be shortly after the Jessie
release on the 25th when migrations into Stretch restart.
So, I would much prefer if the patches were somewhere much easier to
return to at some point in the next few weeks and email probably isn't
it. (Despite the list being archived, I suspect I'll forget.)
The btfs patch would, IMHO, be much more useful sent to the Debian bug
report. The "only install extlinux if grub installation fails" *is* an
existing Debian bug: #742267, it would be very handy to have that patch
sent to that report. (Yes, I am effectively using the BTS as the
upstream bug tracker.)
I'm equally happy to mirror vmdebootstrap to github or somewhere if you
prefer to have pull requests / a git repo to keep everything up to
date, or git.debian.org (the packaging is already at both of
those) or ....
I just don't want your work to get lost in my inbox ... email tends
to be for stuff I can reply to imminently.
(should probably put this into a README or manpage too)
