Current behaviour is to always include dm-mirror if it exists.

What you propose is to refuse generating ramdisks if dm-mirror is not 
available.

I disagree with you, and hope to be able to convince you it is wrong.

Tagging it as wontfix and keeping it open for now - in case you or 
someone else is able to educate be that I have somehow misunderstood.
