In the first use of eeepc-acpi-scripts on my Eeepc, I've patched a bit
the /etc/acpi/actions/hotkey.sh to adapt it with differences seen on my
specific model... and forgot to report then upstream. But now (since
using 2.6.30 from backports ?), this hotkey.sh script is no more ever
called !

> Could you list what events are caused when trying the other keys?
Yes, here is the codes for my 1002HA :

* Fn-F1, sleep symbol :
acpid: received input layer event "button/sleep SBTN 0000 0080 00000000"
acpid: executing action "/etc/acpi/actions/sleep.sh"
…
acpid: completed input layer event "button/sleep SBTN 000 00080 00000000"

so here, the eeepc-acpid-scripts' event
file /etc/acpi/events/sleep-netlink is used,
and /etc/acpi/actions/sleep.sh is called.

* Fn-F2, wlan symbol :
acpid: received input layer event "button/wlan WLAN 00000080 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "button/wlan WLAN 00000080 00000000"
rfkill is handled by the kernel [but I have the same problem about double rfkill, one for ath9k module, one for eeepc-laptoo)

* Fn-F4 [no symbol] :
acpid: received input layer event "button/zoom ZOOM 00000080 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "button/zoom ZOOM 00000080 00000000"
[nothing happens]

* Fn-F5, lower brightness symbol and Fn-F6, higher brightness symbol :
acpid: received input layer event "video/brightnessdown BRTDN 00000087 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "video/brightnessdown BRTDN 00000087 00000000"
and
acpid: received input layer event "video/brightnessup BRTUP 00000086 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "video/brightnessup BRTUP 00000086 00000000"

works, with on-screen feedback, but not handled by eeepc-acpi-scripts ?

* Fn-F7, blank screen symbol :
nothing happens, the key seems to be undetected, whereas it was detected by previous versions of kernel/userspace (?), as I patched hotkey.sh to handle it and know it worked.

* Fn-F8, toggle video symbol :
acpid: received input layer event "video/switchmode VMOD 00000080 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "video/switchmode VMOD 00000080 00000000"
nothing happens on my two screens config :-(, whereas it worked before…

* Fn-F9, task-manager symbol (?) :
acpid: received input layer event "button/prog1 PROG1 00000080 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "button/prog1 PROG1 00000080 00000000"
nothing happens, but I never used it.

* Fn-F10, mute symbol, Fn-F11 lower sound and Fn-F12, higher sound :

acpid: received input layer event "button/mute MUTE 00000080 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "button/mute MUTE 00000080 00000000"
acpid: received input layer event "button/volumedown VOLDN 00000080 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "button/volumedown VOLDN 00000080 00000000"
acpid: received input layer event "button/volumeup VOLUP 00000080 00000000"
acpid: completed input layer event "button/volumeup VOLUP 00000080 00000000"

works, with on-screen feedback, but not handled by eeepc-acpi-scripts ?

* SHEngine button (not a Fn-F* combination, but a specific button on the top of the keyboard) :
nothing detected :-(

Perhaps brightness is handled by the BIOS, but I get a feedback on the
screen (Gnome applet ? a decoration-less window with a sun symbol and a
progress bar). Idem for the sound, so I guess some userspace software is involved :
I guess it's HAL, as running "lshal -m" prints events for sound, brightness events.

?!? Does the hotkey.sh used only on Lenny 2.6.26 kernels ? I don't understand yet.
