According to the main page "backports.org" is all about porting packages FROM
"testing" (and sometimes from "unstable") TO "stable".

As far as I can decipher this page it doesn't look good - there are 5
patches to be
applied and the packages won't enter testing for at least 10 days
AFTER the patched
packages are available in unstable. I'd give it at least a month, and I consider
this estimate as very optimistic.
(Don't view it as a negative of the "testing" process - this process
pretty much ensures
that "testing" is actually very stable).
