thank you for reporting this problem!

New packages for ppc64 are built regularly for the unstable distribution. 

However, there was a problem with the synchronization of the ppc64 
archive on alioth. The whole 'dists' directory which includes the 
Release and Packages files was not updated for quite a long time.

This has been fixed now and the ppc64 archive is up to date again, i.e.
the ppc64 archive has current versions of more than 98% of the packages 
in the 'unstable' and 'testing'/'etch' distributions.
