Thank you for checking it. I recently have received Gemalto's reader
(other model) and indeed the tests are failing while PPS sending is removed.
I see you have already added the patch, but please consider my changes,
which should better handle more exceptions being added if that would be
the way to deal with this issue.

Do you have any experience with running tests on other devices than Gnuk
and mentioned Gemalto readers?
