[pkg-bioc] how to proceed?

yeah, i forgot about that.  :)  hasn't always been true, as i recall.

in order of preference, local folks here like:

1) the MASS book
2) the Maindonald (DAAG)
3) Dalgaard's "Introductory Statistics with R".

my generation of students here learned out of DAAG, but folks have since 
settled on MASS as a slightly easier book to deal wtih.
