I still find it difficult to distinguish between NPTL and non-NPTL
build. Do you have a recipe?
To the best of my knowledge (which is not much), debian packages are NPTL.

So, is classic's lock manager NPTL or not? The debian's lock manager
terminates when not used and this is different from forever-running
super-server.

I see no reason for that. Plus, how does one force (non-)NPTL build?
