Please tone down the hyperbole (everyone).  I don't want to see our 
nascent efforts at cooperation derailed because of a difference on 
databases.

Wikimedia uses MySQL on hundreds of Wikis.  Others use Postgres. 
Citizendium uses Postgres and their developer is a major contributor to 
MediaWiki's PG support.

There are some problems with Postgres support, but we should use this 
opportunity to fix them.
