I've tried to use these but got an error, which looks like #794594 [0].

So it looks like pbuilder on sid is broken for the moment, so I shall
wait a bit.

It seems that using cowbuilder through git-pbuilder may lead to
different results.

In any case, we should make sure the proper GBP configuration is
documented [1], and reasonably usable by multiple people.

I hope this will work, but in the meantime, I may not use
pbuilder/cowbuilder/etc and just --git-overlay :

 $ gbp buildpackage --git-overlay --git-export-dir=../test/ --git-no-create-orig 

I'll try to report on my progress.
