Hi again!

When we already are at optimization, I also proposed to entirely drop
our current pkg-postgresql-private@lists.alioth.debian.org--postgresql
archive and use

  pkg-postgresql-private@lists.alioth.debian.org--2004
  pkg-postgresql-private@lists.alioth.debian.org--2005

(and so on) instead. Otherwise, a new checkout in 2007 had to download
and apply hundreds of changesets, which becomes inconvenient.

This approach will also confine the lifetime of temporary branches
(which should be created to develop big new features).

Martin
