I just took a look at it, but I'm a bit confused about the directories
and symlinks in /usr/share/doc.

There's no directory/symlink for vim-tiny, which IIRC is a policy
violation. But we have this problem for the other vim-variant packages
too in 1:6.4-001+2, there's no symlink vim-python -> vim-common on my
system.
