[Welcome-team] Status of the Welcome Team

First of all, hello everyone! Long time, no see, at least since Debconf.

General state of things; sorry about the long radio silence.

* Per and I are slightly behind on our team documentation efforts.

* David Lu will be emailing the list shortly with a link to the web app 
some of you saw at Debconf; his goal is to not only have you all use it to 
welcome people, but also to find out how we/he can improve it.

* I believe everyone who was at that meeting at Debconf is on the list 
here.

* The notes from that meeting can be found at:

So that's sort of where things are. Per and I, as the team leaders, will 
figure out how the documentation side of things will work over the next 
week, and you should expect to hear more on this list over the coming N 
(0-7) days about the tech side of things too.
